Just a little something I put together for a buddy's son. Happy Birthday Caleb!

Holy moly!

No I did not fall prey to an alien abduction. Let's just clear that issue up right away. I had the pleasure of working with Travel Cuts on a new campaign they will be launching very soon. It was a particularly large and complex order and I was more than happy to provide them with some quality merch. This, however, is the main reason I've been absent lately. The majority of November was dedicated to cranking out these kickin' shirts.
Now that I'm over this hill I can address some of the other jobs we've got coming up before the end of the year. One of which was this family portrait for one of the servers at the Waltzing Weasel.
Keep your eyes glued here for a steady stream of updates to follow as the jobs are crossed of the ol' white board.

New client, great lookin' shirt

Hey everyone, finished up the first batch of shirts for a new client last week; the incredibly talented Lee Howard. I've already recieved a second order for these great tees that advertise his gruesome creations, the Quiet Room Bears. They're individually crafted little nightmares that would look great in any horror collection. Check 'em out here!

Something in the wings

Here's a quick sample of one of the possible characters for an upcoming story about some 18 karat cats crusin' in outerspace... ya dig?

A little something brought back from Europe

Hey there everyone, sorry for the abscence of posts lately. This shall be remedied 'post' haste. Sorry that one made me cringe. Anyway, here's a couple of drawings I did while the wife and our buddy Moose were all on vacation this year.
Angel was our rentee of the place we stayed at in Amsterdam. Very cool chick; professional treasure underwater treasure hunter! They don't really come much cooler than that...

Like the new do?

Well here we go. As you can see I've been tweeking the site lately to hopefully offer more and better services to the appreciators and customers. Let me know what you think of the new look.

Meanwhile, I haven't forgotten that I'm supposed to be providing content here either. Did some sketching at the Waltzing Weasel and the coffee shop. The Weasel is a great little pub in the north of Oshawa and worth popping into for a pint. You may just find yourself poppin' up in the next round of sketches ;)

Ninjas, ninjas everywhere

Well I've had a couple requests for particular artwork over the last week. Most which has had to do with ninjas. I'd explain more right now but ninjas are involved so it's obviously a secret. More to follow
Also, I've started working with the site www.whatmmorpg.com again. Great strips and great reviews on games. Take a minute to check 'em out. You won't be disappointed!

Making a living

And so this week closes out with a couple of pieces of paid work. The first is a banner I did for my good friends Sheila and Tracy, the Zwei Fat Chicks. It's a great podcast that covers all kinds cool stuff from where to get a great bite to eat, what to look for in a good micro brew or even what makes a great cigar! It's a great show with followers all over the globe. Worth the trip to iTunes. The girl on the camel was a request from a friend of mine. Leah's a great cake decorator. Her stuff can blow your mind and make you salivate all at the same time. I'll post up the finished work here once she's got it all iced up! The Luna Chix are a local all womens baseball team that has hired me to screen their shirts. Still working out the kinks on the mascot. I'm hoping these ones look looney enough ;)

Coffee and Robots

Well here we are again. Spent time giving GIL his makeover. His basic design hasn't changed much, for those who are familiar with his original design, so I decided to post up some expression work I've been doing with him. There's also another round of coffee shop caricatures snuck in here somewhere. Keep doodling

The new Spud

Did a little redesigning of Spud as well. Next post will probably have the revamped version of the robot sidekick (tentatively known as G.I.L.L). The doggy is based off my own pooch, Paige. She's not purple but does go crazy for treats, drool a lot and has a super pointy head.

Great News

For anyone that's read my first full length publication "Boogie Boy Blues and Music Awards" you'll be happy to hear that I have signed on with the author and creator Ron Beer to do two more books. The script for 'Boogie Boy and the Birth of the Blues' is nearly completed and the art work will follow swiftly on it's heels. A Boogie Boy website is also under construction and I will post all the goodies here for everyone once it's up and running.

On another note I just finished some merch artwork for the boys in The Corporate Life. They're a hard rockin' band with punk and metal influences colliding in an eruption of face melting awesomeness! Check em out here. Once the shows are booked and ready to roll I'll be posting all the info up here.

Back in the saddle

Well it's been awhile since the last post. Ok, a very long while, but I'm hoping that these are going to make up for it. There's a couple of Oriental, demony, flash type sketches (which will see colour in the near future, a redesign of the heroine of the Space Hottie and Spud series (to be posted here soon) and lastly a sketch dump of some of the lovely folks I end up leering at down at the local coffe
